Number one childhood movie: Back to the Future. Worthy follow-up: Back to the Future 2. Shit had sweet ass hover boards and
vinyl neon hats. And even though the movie claimed to be doing design from the year 2015, they weren't fooling anybody--it somehow managed to be even more 80s than the 80s itself. It's not too surprising, then, that with all this 80s design and fashion making its way into current style, that someone's taking inspiration from the self-lacing sky-tops that McFly wore in his relative future. They don't look quite the same, if I recall them correctly (and I'm pretty sure
I do), but it's such a ridiculous concept that it works. I'd never wear them, though.
